Michael Brack michaelbrack.deviantart.com/ created the drop-dead-gorgeous cover art featured to the left for my company. The Buried Door www.amazon.com/Buried-Door-Rem… is the first book in the Marrowmire trilogy by Remedy Loame remedyloame.com/_/Welcome.html.
We commissioned Michael for this project because his creepy storybook style was perfect for the book. As you can see, he created an exceptional cover image for us and our in-house designer added beautiful typography. Michael is also working on a set of internal B&W illustrations to make this book even more of a treat for readers.
Literally hundreds of artists applied for this commission, which I posted on the DA Forum. Every shortlisted artist was incredibly talented, so it was a tough choice for my team. But we're thrilled with the cover and we can't wait to see what our next covers will look like.
I'll be announcing the artists we've chosen for our Dystopian YA novel and our Regency Romance here very soon!

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the USA! The holiday slowed us down some, and my team and I will be meeting to make decisions about our two latest offers ( http://forum.deviantart.com/jobs/offers/1799565 and http://forum.deviantart.com/jobs/offers/1802009/ ) over the next few days. I am carefully reviewing every portfolio - a pretty cool way to spend days and evenings! My five cats are just as captivated as I am by the magnificence unfolding on my computer screen every time I open a gallery.
